What do we mean by Civic Engagement?

Civic Engagement is simply citizens working together to make a change or difference in their community. It can encompass both political and non-political actions. The end goal of any civic engagement is to address public concerns and improve the quality of life in a community.

To us it means, taking an action that helps someone other than yourself; that benefits a collective group of people.

Maybe you get up early one Saturday and plant a tree.

Maybe you have a community garden that you work on.

Perhaps you tutor disadvantaged students

Whatever your jam is, making it a part of your normal life is what changes the world.
